5 Ways to Improve Motivation

Welcome to the “Saturday Health Mini-Series,” on Intuit Fit Blog! I am going to be posting short, motivational tips on Saturdays to help you move towards a more vital life. Today, I describe 5 Ways to Improve Your Motivation:

  1. Visualize yourself living your ideal life. What activities would you be doing daily? How would you feel?

  2. Start a journalling practice in which you regularly write about your ideal life. Here’s a starter prompt: “How do you want to feel in your life?”

  3. Show compassion for your inner critic. Tune in, get curious about what’s going on inside of you! “This is difficult to feel insecure right now. How can I support myself right now?”

  4. Get creative! Create art! Finger Paint! Sing! Cook! Rearrange things! Embody your creative soul, we’ve all got one!

  5. Daily affirm your identity in your meaningful activity. “I am a runner!”, “I am a dancer!” “I am a weight-lifter!” “I am a hiker!”

Keep loving yourselves, friends. Keep moving towards your dreams.
